Its not an easy place to fish
Its not an easy place to fish mate due to the huge tides. This time of year they will be huge on the full and new moon.
The water in the Fitzroy River should still be warm enough to catch Barra, but that depends on your vehicle etc. A lot of the locals head Leeda station way. The locals will be the best to help you.

Thanks for the tips I didn't
Thanks for the tips I didn't even get to fish as i couldnt take my rods on the plane ( work said i could but they didnt check ) but i did check out the jetty and locals fishing the mangroves in the high tide I saw a small bull shark caught and a shovel nosed shark but that was about it i didnt manage to get out to any worthy fishing spots but hopefully next time i will be able to have a free day as some of the locals ( i met through my job up there at the prison ) where keen to show me.
