Love a full moon -bagged out by 8am

Hit the water at Woodman P oint at 4.33 this morning, headed out to the fourties , first drop a kilo plus KGW, followed quickly thereafter by a speccy blakbum, then another, then a 15kg dhufish that literally straightened a pair of size 2 whiting hooks snoozed with skinned occy, a good gaff shot by my mate secured it and could not believe when I saw the hooks that it stayed on, light clutch and soft rod obviously did it's job, then a baldie to finish off the bag, another speccy blakarse released with a weight.

moved inshore into 35 metres and first drop two stonker KG W ........Back to ramp by 10

more full moons please

Go the Hoodlums Gordon. They are an awesome hook flattened curve and shank gives them a lot of strength. I use the 8/0 and 9/0 depending on bait etc. Great catch btw.

jig assists

Wed, 2014-01-22 10:46

I have been using them on my jig assists, they look solid and the price is decent.  I havent caught anything huge on any of my own made ones yet.

I have used the black magic KL's they are solid too but I like an offset eye (octopus style) for my snelled rigs, I think the hoodlums are straight too?

The hooks on the williamson jigs are strong as buggary, had my saltiga pushing around 15kg's of drag on some big cobia before xmas, the jigs bent but the hooks didnt
