Lowrance elite 7hdi problems

Hi guys
inthe new boat we picked up it has got a elite 7 hdi and the thing will not read depth.
i ran my hds 8 in there and it worked fine, so it's not the tranny, must be the head unit.
anyone know if it can be repaired? Is it worth it?
anyone had these issues?

Not something simple like internal sounder disabled ?
I know on my Raymarine you can disable it!

Lots of problems with them
Lots of problems with them if you do an online search. Fairly common problem.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

No vinnie, gone through all
No vinnie, gone through all the settings, even to the point of returning it back to factory settings.
yes it dose have the sonar stop.
it comes up with a couple of lines and depth just flashes, dosent even scroll.
works in simulate fine, gps side is fine as well
i will do a online search, cheers

mine working fine
Lost the depth as well but after the new software update and some adjustments to the tranny sounder working perfectly.
