Mandurah Crabbing

Looking at going crabbing in Mandurah tomorrow morning. Are they good for scooping this time of year or are they all undersize (like last time i went in mid december)? Has anyone been there lately, whats it like?
-Also, any good scooping spots?

I went down there a week a go
I went down there a week a go and between the 2 of us we got 17 all up. Heaps of females around though. That was after dark from about 8 till about midnight

Went there last week and got
Went there last week and got 10 in hour or so.
Went today. Was dead.. Got 8 crab in 3-4 hrs or something stupid like that!

Still Plenty
Bit late now since you would have already been but there are still plenty around if you can find the right spots. Been buried in the sand wherever you can find a patch in amongst the weed. Shagging the little jennies so not too difficult to scoop when you find them!

head towards the remote areas
head towards the remote areas of the inlet and estuary and look for big sand bars, went out a month ago and have never seen the crabbing that good before, bagged out in half an hour scooping.

went on sunday, got 80
went on sunday, got 80 between people, kept the biggest 30. walked out past the 50 other people, we were in about 50-60cm water, got some nice ones
Fishing and catching are two different things. But i want to learn how to catch.
