Mandurah Crabs Landbased
Submitted by Matt T on Wed, 2020-01-15 21:47
Hi all, booked a place down in Madora Bay and really keen to get into some crab with either the nets or scooping - can anyone help me with where they are at the moment?
Thanks

Any sand bars in Mandurah.
Any where in the estuary, best around the river mouth of the Murray and serpentine. At night with headlight they seem to be thicker

Easiest location for you
Easiest location for you will be the end of Sticks Boulevard Erskine (walk out along the bank to get to the main estuary) or Dorothy Road Falcon plenty of parking, went last week at 5am and got 10 decent size ones within an hour. Best to go early as there are strong Southerly winds all week which will decrease visibility

Thanks guys
Yeah Matty, the wind has really picked up since this morning. I'll have a go tomorrow. Worth dropping nets at the bridge this arvo?

Delicious!
Got about 15-20 last night in the canals but only 3 good size. Still made for a very tasty lunch!
