Varies
A lot depends on the Leeuwin Current and water temps but in good years we can raise 15 plus fish. Not huge numbers but the nature of the fishery is that the more boats are out there the more fish get raised and hooked.

This sounds good
If anybody would like to participate in this event but do not have a boat our vessel is equipped with all the electronics needed including a furuno ch600 sonar and fcv1150 with 2 and 3kw transducers and 6m reelax outriggers we can provide talica 50s and 25s and rods to match and bonze skirts or bring your own gear.
We are reasonably priced and would love for someone to book the boat for competition. Please contact me via fishwrecked or facebook if you are interested.

Must be a member of a GFAA affiliated club
If you're a member of PGFC, Exmouth GFC, Naturaliste GFC, Geraldton and Districts OFC, MAAC game fishing section, FSC game fishing section, Broome GFC, King Bay GFC, Nor West GFC you can fish this tournament. In addition if you are a member of any GFAA affiliated club from interstate you are eligible.
Also there is a new affiliated game fishing club in WA - Cockburn Power Boat Club Fishing Section. If you are a member there you can fish.
Note that you have to be a current financial member of your club.
Although primarily a billfish competition there are prizes for other pelagic species. Among the prizes is nearly $2000 in cash for the first three billfish tagged.
If you want to give yourself a challenge, test yourself outside the usual fishing techniques, and experience the adrenaline rush of billfishing then thos is your opportunity.

Bad luck
Hey Matt
Heard you were back in town. Would have been great to see you out there. Still got the Caribbean?
I was out at the trench a few months ago and hooked a nice blue but couldn't hold onto it.
