Mandurah KGs

Took my oldest boy out to catch some more sandies for Xmas Eve dinner with my 90y old granparents. The bite was off but we got more than we bargained for with some nice KGs. Was spewing I didn't have some pellets to drop the pick and burley up as they weren't thick but got enough for a feed.

Just need to find those elusive crabs I promised nanna now. Scoured Pt Grey yesterday for no keepers but scored a nice cobbler on the gidgee.

Well done on the kg's.  Young bloke looks quite proud of himself for the catch.  Pity about the crabs tho

Aye mate. Nah got them inside James Service.

Back in Perth now and my fuel tank is out for a repair but I reckon the hot spell would have a few more size crabs out and about, I found the bigger models to be in waste deep water around Pt Grey but the visibility made it very hard work. Fair few cobbler around too

Went out yesterday in the estuary with the drop nets. Caught 14, not 1 size most not even close. Fisheries were out checking as well and said it has been a very slow start to the season.
