Mandurah offshore Fishing and Sailing club members?

Any MOFSC members on here? I'm a Mandurah local and thinking of joining, mainly to use their ramps and I think you can leave your boat there aswell, not much room at my house. And also keen on their fishing comps. Pretty expensive at around a grand a year, worth it? Are the members all ages? I'm only 26 so dont really want to join and be the odd one out...

The membership is $435 per year, your wife can join with you for $70 and there is a $200 house levy which is easy to spend over a year. I've been a member for a few years and I only joined to use the ramp as the going ons at public ramps were really effecting my boating enjoyment. You can leave your boat there, but that's another expense as well. Don't quote me but I think that if you hired a hardstand there it would add around another $1K to your costs.
I'm 55, I feel young there, and don't seem to fit in at all. Having said that, it's still a very pleasant place to go for a feed and a beer and the number of people that you can sign in as guests is quite liberal.
