Mandurah Xmas lights

Anyone offer advice where best place to put boat in to take kids around canals to see Xmas lights?

 We could not get out of the marina until nealry midnight.

 

PS Turn your headlights off when you back the trailer in, the guy on the other side of the finger jetty will be able to see that way.

Yep, not too many people think about the headlights until they're trying to back down and someone is pointing the sun at them.

 unfortunately not all cars can have their headlights turned off, ive had to cop abuse when there's nothing i can do about it

 from what i have seen in the past the canals south of the old bridge put on a good show. havnt been out on the water to see them but from the road they look great. 

thinking of going for a cruise one night ourself

We've used the waterside boat ramp, but getting out can sometimes take a while.

the canal residents do a great job of embracing the Xmas spirit, and the kids love it 

I do find though that driving the boat around at nighttime when things get backed up can get stressful quite quickly, as some people driving boats are not used to being so close to others....and sometimes people will unexpectedly stop at a particular house causing a traffic jam

 We went last night. Good luck to anyone who gets back to the ramp after 9 as the queue was growing.

Lots of boats and lots of crabs but very few morons which was nice.
