Anybody had a crack for squid and or crabs in the sound recently?
I am thinking of giving it a crack tomorrow.
Looks like it is going to be pretty windy, but am in need of a few fresh squid!

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

yeh.......
Ryan went out a week or so ago and got 20 crabs (mainly blueys i think he said) and a dozen descent squid/cuttlefish from Pamelia Bank in about 4 hours (2 onboard).
Crabs were in the deeper water as he said there was bugger all in the shallows (yes North of Woodmans)

give the area between the ammo dump and the jetty that the dredger dumps at... there still getting a few nice decent crabs off the jetty seeing as that isnt classified as cockburn sound
and how much bottom baits are getting hammered by crabs... id put all my chips on the table in that area...

Sunset mission is off the cards this weekend unfortunately, so going to be out there in broad daylight.
Not overly confident but will give it a whirl!

went for a squid wednesday sunset / night time and only managed 1 jumbo squid and 1 baby.
i was squidding close to rockingham and have done many times but usually do alot better than 2 squid.
next time i'm thinking i'll try the northern end of the sound.
