Marine sparky

Hi all,

Wondering if someone could help with a good marine sparky NOR, my batteries (I think) have been playing up over the last few months, engines seem to dim everything when I try and start it - thinking there might be more to it seeing the battery is only a year old. Example - starts perfect one day runs all day and dead the next. Might need a good check over of everything.

Thanks all Dan

Check your cables at the crimp especially the earth.

if you have second battery check it is ok it could of dropped a cell and dragging the first one down.

if you have only one and its dead the next day, charge it and then take both leads of then try a few days later. Battery flat then battery U/S. Is it a marine battery as they are built to take the pounding of a boat, if not it may have cracked a plate. I it holds charge then there is something drawing power flattening battery.

good luck DT

Thanks gunner - not a bad idea checking the 2nd battery, I might take them both to get checked . I tried all 3 options battery 1., 1 and 2., and just 2, all seemed to be dead. Lucky it just cranked over though gunner, the baiters might not of gone home with any fish haha, go the jiggers

Sounds like a bad Earth but something is killing your new battery. Maybe battery 2 has dropped a cell.
