Yeah gets busier and busier
Yeah gets busier and busier every year, so many boats. Most people down there seem to have the shit together tho so the lines move fairly quickly, from what I've seen anyway.
Got our bag limit today too!

Am also very similar, have 2 pots (About .7 mile apart) which have been in the same spot for the last 8 days and are getting 4-8 a day per pot, so no need to move. Also got much bigger today!

Good to see
That most people are using their head and getting their boat sorted before hitting the ramps. A bit of prior planning and sorting out makes it easy and quick for all users.

We hit the water around 6.00am each time
The lines flow well. Havent seen any real dramas. I'd rather go to OR as it gets seems to get boaties rather than "cool kids" and their toys. Although got back just after 7.00am and it was almost a ghost town already
Got 23 out of the pots today. Very happy camper.

Have passed you on your way
Have passed you on your way out as we're coming in several times this season already. Your boat's a bit hard not to take notice of.

Remember to take your Fisheries licence
Timely reminder to ensure you take your plastic licence with you each time you go out.....the Fisheries bloke was a bit cranky I didn't have mine on me this morning.
Fair enough, it very clearly spells out that you must be able to produce it when asked, so I took it on the chin.
Once he checked back to HQ, all good, but he did make the point it was a waste of everyones time.

One nuff nuff tried to queue
One nuff nuff tried to queue jump. Got abused. Then decided to retrieve his boat at the lauch ramp.
And proceeded to almost fall overboard getting from his boat to the jetty...
Always has to be one...

I got to the ramp at Kalbarri at 5am
There were two trailers parked, no boats in sight. Launched, dropped the pots, back in, someone launching on one ramp, I got the other one. Of course , there are no crays up here yet.

Where in SA are you?
wow that's crazy, I've never seen half that many boats over here in SA. Anywhere near where you can put amateur pots in, or further up one of the gulf's? I spent a while in Lincoln in 1975 and again in 1977, relief diver for abs, also whiting and gar off a small boat. Interesting place, must get back there one day. All round steel pots over there, IIRC.
