metro Red Bass?
Submitted by Jim on Fri, 2019-03-08 17:20
Hi,
Picked up this beauty the other week was fat as around 7-8kg at a guess. Anyone got a positive i.d? Ive never caught a red bass but it looks like one?
Also picked up a nice spainyard on a cast metal.
Big school of feeding mackies came straight toward us. skipper hooks up and gets snipped, then I get snipped. quick rerig (no wire) and I got lucky!

Never heard of a red bass metro but that's definately one. To top it of with a mack aswell! That would be hard to repeat.

Cheers fellas, I can
Cheers fellas, I can understand the doubt and was expecting some. For me it adds to the rareness of the capture!
Seakem 50lb braid for the bass, couldnt get my head around what it was when we got colour, 30lb braid for the macky both went hard as. Good fun!
Beau, was a cracker day and it sounds like you saw the skippers report.
cheers again
