Metro Rocks - Sat 28/04
Not much to report I'm afraid, other than some wet weather. I was flicking 10-15g lures from my favourite rocks (SoR) hoping the tailor might come on the bite. My day must have been written in the stars, because after half a dozen casts I caught a stargazer. Pretty rare in itself, but to get one on lure was something else. Was only a babby....no more than 10cm, but put a smile on my face. On sundown, got myself a good sized starfish. Had a few nibbles all afternoon, probably herring and they were few and far between. A bit tentative and they never seemed to come back for seconds. Saw some incredible herring acrobatics, so something bigger must have been doing the rounds. Sadly, metal wasn't on the menu. :-)
The day turned rather sour when crossing some rocks in darkness I experienced a 'blowout'. My $2 thongs finally gave way, I am however eternally grateful for the rocks underneath me which (eventually) cushioned my fall. Messed up my toes and back a little, but somehow kept the rod in the air....must be my surivival instincts kicking in.
All this weather, nice swell and fairly calm water makes me wish I had bait with me. Looks like a great night to be out hunting snapper / mulla.
Tight lines.

Bad luck about the
Bad luck about the fishing.
The falling incident reminds me of when i fell over while casting in big swell from the beach. Managed to get all my clothes drenched and sandy, but the rod and reel stayed dry :)
Sex is great, but fishing lasts all day.
