Metro Tailor on Lures

 Hey Guys,

Looking to start fishing for tailor on lures. Where would be the best beach to go NOR?

Cheers

Sam

 Look for reefy areas

Look for reefy areas preferably with deepish water adjacent to the reef.

Otherwise walk along any surf beach like trigg/Scarborough and throw lures into and around all the mullet schools there, fairly likely to be tailor hanging around them

 beach when there's some chop

beach when there's some chop trigg point is a good starter and work your way north fish the breaks in the reef

The mac club holds some good tailor when the swells up,just walk along casting and you'll find your own spots

The one lure I'd take is a halco silver twisty caught more metro tailor than any of my expensive sticks

On the silver twisty - it's almost cheating.

Floreat Beach

Not sure how South you're willing to go but Floreat beach right next to the drain (either side) always produces good size Tailor in the evening just on sunset.

I've caught a few using smaller poppers and stickbaits.

Be careful what you leave visible inside your vehicle - I've heard of a few windows being smashed....other than that it's a top spot for Tailor.
