Mindarie Dhuies

G'day all.  Thought I would post a pic of a couple of dhuies I picked up on sat arvo.  Went for a fish out from Mindarie bout 2pm - the weather was pretty dodgy (which was indicated by only one other boat trailer parked at the ramps) though just before I headed in I drifted over a nice little lump and picked up these beauties!

The bit you won't believe is that I got them as a double header! The larger one weighed 6kgs whilst the smaller one was 3.5kgs.  They put on a great fight and tasted great on the Barbie too!:)

The weather

The weather actually turned pretty bad as I hooked up so I was unable to do another drift.  I managed to ping the spot on my GPS so I'm looking forward to going back there:)  I was told that the dhuies are in close at the moment and this sure did confirm it.  Got them both in 12m of water....

No better way of catching two Dhuis Wayne. You'd have been pretty pleased when they came up!

yeah sure was Colin.  It was interesting trying to get both of them in the net by myself!  btw  - how do you tell the difference between a male and female dhuie?  Is it something to do with the dorsal fin?
