Sunday with Paul G Jesse and Jody
Yes well hit the ramp nice and early, beat the rush. Was surprised to see six empty trailers, and not a boat to be seen. well the day went in a different direction than had planned ,with the sea being quite choppy we changed tact and stayed in close ,Was heaps of fish on the sounder, schools on most patches but the fish were playing hard to get , we still ended up with a good catch but a lot of miles . Jody nailed a nice Cray while drift baiting around 1kg and missed another with only get one leg The Jesse v Jody thing fell in a heap with the skipper out fishing them this time
The days catch 7 dhuies 3 released,
3 snapper all released
1 sambo released
4 blackbums 3 released
1 crayfish released
2 bluebone
And an assortment of small fish.

Very happy with the boat
Very happy with the boat ,cruised around 23knots all day did 40 naughtical miles used 50 liters very stable while drifting, great allrounder . my last boat would have used 70 liters on that trip and this one is twice the weight . and alot more gear on board.

Yeah, still kicking myself
Yeah, still kicking myself about it. Needed a good fish too, and the next weather window doesnt look too soon.
Good to see you guys still got into some good fish though. The whales would have been interesting to watch too.

mmm
Its either the lucky pearls or the lucky hat, not sure which, but gee you do well Jody. Damn shame about the season, its hurting me too. I had my hands on 2 jumbo antlers the other day and the bloody thing didn't even move, both of them and there 6 off spring taunted me for 5 minutes. Temptation is a terrible thing.

Nice cray...
Hmmmm....seem like lots of crew hit 2Rocks....I was meant to be required for a family bash....but a 11th hour plea had me on the phone to my brother.....
we launched at 5.30....was dark so we couldnt tell how average it was till we hit 41m and the sun came up....washing machine.....with little or no drift....
Heaps of baldies in the 50+cm range.....few dhuies mostly just undersize....kept one 6kg number before bringing out the jig gear for some fun...
Took us 40mins to reload the boat back at the ramp with the line of boats......lucky we had beer....

Not wrong Salmo the water
Not wrong Salmo the water was lumpy as hell .and the tide was all over the place, one minute you were drifting north then south then in circles ,was hard work.
The problem with two rocks ramp everyone has to use the jetty, which makes it a slow retreave. We just drop one member on the jetty and come down the other side ,you get some dirty looks ,but no point waiting hours when you can get out in ten minutes
