mindarie dhu's today
hi Guys, as i mentioned yesterday with the weather being so good i decided to go fishing today with a guy who works for me (lets just call him the dhuie magnet!!! some of you may recognise him from the photo!(and he may be a dentist!!) anyway we launched around 5.15 this morning and by 7.30 we had our full bag limit of demersals and had released 8 other dhu's while trying to avoid them!!! (a nice problem to have!!!, anyway we ended up with 10 dhu's between 4-15kg(8 released of course) , 1 nice baldy, 1 blackass, and we rounded out the icebox with a nice king george, on the last drop while trying to avoid dhu's i had changed to 1/0's and was targeting king george when you guessed it i hooked a dhu of 70cm or so and landed it on the 1/0 hooks !! all the dhu's went back strongly as we were not aiming to keep anymore so we were stopping and letting them decompress and only 1 needed the release weight , i think i've been spoilt forever now as this guy has taken me out twice now for a total of 20 dhu's, 11 big king george, a baldy , several large blackass and a few unstoppables i have pulled the hooks on!!! we also trolled for a short while today and hooked a couple of striped tuna , awesome day! we also saw Andy Mac at the ramp and he had done well too, here are the photo's of the 2 biggest dhu around 11and 15 kilo's cheers.(for those interested all fish were caught on californian squid.)

Glad to see you christened it
Glad to see you christened it Ryan.
We went out to the trench today and had a ripper strike that was almost certainly a marlin given the damage to the leader although we didn't see it. Just failed to hook up - $hit.
Cheers

very nice day out
very nice day out there.
Someone has to try for the marlin/dhuie in a day double, if they pull it off it will take some beating for sure.
