Mitchell 499's

Can any one help me in finding new parts for 2 499's all I need is a couple of drag washers,1 bail roller and a couple of drag ratchet clips that are found under the spool. Help would be much appreciated!

John Devitt would have been the man but he is now retired. He might be worth ringing however to see if he still has any parts. Have a look for his number/ad in the back of oldish (18months +)Wangler magazines.

Im not sure but i think that the Vic park shop also stock mitchells.......i can just remember me step dad getting them from there because he swears by them. Reel that is.

I've got a few of the old versions/keepers/collectable and due to the older age/change over of manufacturer the parts are like hens teeth. I'm sure some one maybe able to help but I've got an account with Mitchell but no parts available, the last guy I knew that had some/few was 10 years ago!

Drag washers
The two I have were made in purchased in 75 and I have had no trouble with them but like to keep them maintained.
They have Teflon drag washers that need to be replaced but whats the
best stuff to use to make the washers up?

IMO!
HT100 (teflon), just a matter of making sure the material is thick enough as the original washers are thicker than normal I think!

Just picking up my custom made killwell blank with gold titanium guides etc this week. Cheap as and really good.....
