MOB Kill Switch

Anyone use one of these Fell Marine kill switches??

www.fellmarine.com/products/

With a few on the incidents over the past twelve months this may have been useful, most recently thinking about the lucky bugger at Exmouth.  I see a few comments in the media about keeping the kill switch tether attached to yourself, however this isn't possible in a lot of boats, mine included.  This looks like a plausible solution, just wondering how well they work?

That is a good idea another thing i used to do when fishing by myself is hang 30ft of rope out the back of the boat while anchored especially in big tides and if it was night time i would tie a few glow sticks to the rope to light it up

Bought one

Just ordered one from the US on ebay ($255 compared to $355 locally but it was the last one) coz I'm sick of getting my killswitch lanyard caught on my steering wheel and sometimes forget to attach it before taking off. The new model now allows you to connect 4 fobs at once to the unit so I'll be buying fobs locally for the kids especially now that they like sitting on the back bench seat while we drive around the Peel flats.

If anyone is looking at buying one locally I just rang Rib Rescue who have them and the spare fobs and accessories in stock but I couldn't go passed the saving of $100.
