Head up to Cape Peron, due north about 1-2km there is some good bottom, same goes for about 3/4km due east off the cape. Pinks, blacks, etc. Remember to keep wide as you travel up there as you will run aground where the huge bank runs out around Harald bight.
Look for junctions in the channels to anchor up during tide changes for blacks
Carnarvonite is correct, the charter boat heads off Cape Peron
We regularly fish at MM
We have done very well within a few km's of the ramp
The first and second channel have plenty of Black snapper, cods and school mackeral around
A floater out the back for the schoolies is a good idea and a live butter fish on the bottom always picks up a cod or two
Great place especially with the family as no swell
PM me if you want more info

Lot of years ago now but 45 degrees from boat ramp and 45 feet of water was a good starting point, didn't have gps then (7 channels from memory) dropped a marker and had a drift. It worked well.Pinks ,blacks ,cod and bluebone.
