Hi All
heading up to Monkey Mia in a month with the kids and just wondering if anyone has any spot recommendations to take them
We're staying at the RAC park and apart from the dolphin area fisheries says we can fish there so that works but if anyone knows of somewhere else im all ears
Cheers,

Up here at the moment.
Up here at the moment. Fishing is fairly slow, kids are catching whiting and a few small flat head from the shore. Plenty of shovelnose sharks at night off the sand spit. I suggest bringing more beers than fishing gear.

Boat?
If you are taking a boat then off Cape Peron is one of the better places to try, due east about 1km and due north about 2km you will find good ground. Look for a join in the channels for blackies.

We caught some great snapper
We caught some great snapper off the beach at the tip of Cape Peron right on sunset. Some old boys told us how they fished and we bagged out the first night!

Unfortunately all land based
Unfortunately all land based this trip as taking the young kids up. Do want to do cape peron whilst we're there but thinking I'll need some back up spots either by the RAC park or in Denham.
Much being caught of the jetty in town?
