Monster Massive Pacu- 20KG !!! Fishing Thailand- BKKGUY

It has been sometimes since I last posted catch report here.

I have been busy fishing and guiding trips around Thailand.

Just want to share another one of my personal best catch-

A massive 20KG pacu (also known in asia  as the freshwater GT) caught on lure in wild river.

Great fights !!! Fought like a 10KG toman- Pretty impressive with its brutal strength !!!

Enjoys the some of the photo shots &  youtube clip actions below !!!

Awesome !!!! Awesome !!! Awesome fish !!!

Pacu...

Fri, 2015-07-24 23:18

...aren't they native to South America, and eat nuts? Would be harder than a mullet to get on a lure, I reckon!

 Yes... these are native fish

Yes... these are native fish in South America.

Now these fishes acn be found in most asia ponds and rivers.

To catch them on lure, just need to find the correct lure and changes all split rings and hooks.

Thanks mate !!! Pacu fishes can be eaten but most thai doesn't like its meats...

They prefers tilapia & haraun fishes instead.

Bloody hell

It's as big as a hippo, what a catch, the smile on your face will take a year to go. You have really caught a giant of a catch there.
Great going and to catch one on a lure is really an out standing achievement.

 Caught these pacu on soft

Sun, 2015-07-26 20:57

Caught these pacu on soft plastic before on a dingy. A small 2-4kg can tow my tinny around in the lake and i can't bloody imagine what a 20kg can do.

 Great catch!

Auslobster, these fish are omnivores, in South American they eat nuts and fruits fallen off the jungle, but in M'sia & Singapore's paypond, they take lures and live baits!
