Monte Bellos trip
A mate of mine (the bushranger look alike in the vid) got cancer a year ago, so a group of us planned a trip to the Monties with Monte Bellos Island safaris (on the Kylin charter boat, staying on a houseboat). We went beginning of July and had an unreal time.
Highlights were great bottom fishing for three days, a super hot mackerel session and a marlin landed by my mate with cancer.
The crew and conditions were great - but it is a long ride - 8 hours at least - from Exmouth. We mainly fished West of Barrow Island (I was surprised how far we went) and played around in the dinghys and jetboat near the houseboat.
If you are considering going this clip shows accurately what to expect, with a lack of surface action (no GT's etc) and a small amount of trolling, but lots of fish. Sharks were an issue, but we moved if they were too bad and we still got plenty of fish. Jigging/ light gear was discouraged due to sharks, but would have been possible to catch fish, landing not so sure.
Video attached if you are interested (8 minutes) - I am no videographer but shows a pretty good trip.
cheers

thanks for the kind words fellas
yeah - top bloke, going alright at the moment, hope it stays that way.
These crew had their act together a bit more than those Abrolhos cowboys we went with Lyndon. Quality set up and crew.
