I was up there Saturday Arvo
There was lots of weed in close which made it somewhat unfishable in most places. Frustrating thing was that you could cast over it. Word on the day was that Ledge Point was completely weeded out so it seems winter is almost upon us again.
Hey Rig.. I didn't see any fossils sticking out of the sand up that way.

Could be the same
Are you in a position where you can move or are you booking accommodation. Worst case in jurian the Marina shouldn't get too effected, lancelin might be worth a look if Moore and seabird are weeded up. Do you have a 4wd?

seabird
ended up finding some cheap accomidation in seabird, went up on sunday. we got 4 fishing sessions in, the water was looking great, no weed at all! the weather was fine with a bit of rain.
we didnt manage to find any tailor, but got plenty big herring and good sized whiting, and a small flathead on the light gear. i tried sliding out herring, but nothing seemed to be interested.
i did catch a nice sized port jackson on monday morning, didnt put up a fight. but still a cool catch.
cheers

Yeah I actually own a site
Yeah I actually own a site there so know the area well. If you head about 200m north of the ramp there's a little reef where I usually get monster skippy and the usual herring etc. South of the town head on to the dirt track you'll see remnants of an old house just a bit farther is what we call the cove and has some great holes there I've pulled some ripper tailor from there at different times.
