This mornings fish

After sitting in a rented house for 3 days watching the rain and wind howl in Dongara, finally got a hours fishing in. Nailed these two before packing up and heading home. Both released although one was hooked deep, it swam off to hopefully live to fight another day.

Nice to see that lure catching fish. I have one in the lure box that hasn't caught anything yet.... but have only used it once or twice.

I find it deadly on tailor and salmon, together with a Richter plug its all I use.

I have been looking at a bit more of a sub surface tailor lure, they have been a bit quiet on the richter. Where does waxwing sit in the water column?

they are a bit hard to find
they are a bit hard to find at the moment, I think the salmon season cleaned everyone out. You can fish these lures at any depth you want, let them sink to the bottom and twitch them back like a soft plastic. I find giving the lure about three seconds drop then a slow to medium retrieve with the rod tip pointed straight at the lure gets me best results for tailor.
