Hi stricko if you were going to hook'em low tide. Nets high tide. Just not enough water on low to set your drop nets.

There is some creeks just south of the Maitland River...Road/Track going in is a bit rough but can usually get a few if you know what you are doing. Look at Google maps and you will get a better idea. If you can get your dingy in it will increase your chances.

nets are the go at balla balla just dont miss the tide coming home otherwise you will be stuck hundreds of meters of shore getting savaged sand flies , airport creek and fields creek  karratha  are fairly reliable spots  for muddys too , same thing there dont miss the tide  or you wont get back to the back beach ramp

Good advice Peter as i for one did stuff up on the tides one night and ended up who knows how far from the back beach ramp. About 10 at night and got eaten by sand flies for hours. To make matters worse caught stuff all to boot. LOL

Should be no problems l

i used to launch my Southwind at Balla Balla no worries, all the info on tides is spot on, however you CAN launch at lower tide if you wet the mud and just unload off the trailer onto the ground, then you can slide the boat down into the water, it's a lot of work , but gives you a lot more fishing time..muddies+++
