Mulloway at night
Submitted by LB Fisher on Wed, 2012-12-12 09:16
Hi all,
I have my sights set on nailing a decent Mulloway off the beach this summer and I am new to Perth so can anyone tell me if my thoughts here are on the money or a bit misguided -
My thoughts are that tomorrow is a full moon and a high tide around 9:30ish depending on where I fish. Its the start of summer. This says to me that if i dont go and soak some big baits off a metro beach somewhere then im a clown
any thoughts? recommendations for metro beaches? anyone wanna join me?
I dont have a 4x4 so I need to be able to walk to the beach gutters from the car park

If theres scalies at the
If theres scalies at the esheds id be there fishin in comfort with a very high chance of snarin a big mulla usin the live scalies as bait instead of getn sand in my gear, weed on my line, casting with a 20 knot plus southerly, swells crashing my line and the odd one swampin my gear and coming back to the car to find it vandalised, or if u have a 4x4 the chance of getting bogged.....just my thoughts anyhow haha

Prob longer, dont stress
Prob longer, dont stress there is ladders, and the mullas are pretty much dead when u bring them up from the depth. Go to the wa maratime museum end, the lights attract the baitfish at night, a hand full of burley and a baitchaser should see you on to some scalies or slimey mackeral if they are there, I like to fish infront of the closed little toilet block next to the ladder, further towards the end I lost a fish to a snag that I lost 3 or 4 rigs to prior. Plenty of trollwys and chairs etc end up off the edge. Dont go weekends, too many carnts there. Havent heard much on here bout any mullas from there this year
