Navionics Gold vs Platinum plus

Hi guys
Just about to purchase a new Navionics card and am trying to decide between Gold and Platinum plus
Platinum plus is cheaper but covers less area
What other useful functions does Platinum plus have over Gold
Posted here instead of in Sounder area due to more traffic

The plus cards let you
The plus cards let you download areas you need rather than covering an entire country/countries.
I changed my gold card to navionics plus via online purchase to get the community edits and sonar charts for local waters. When I say local it probably covers exmouth to albany without going and downloading any more data. They say you can download as much data as your card will hold so you can download other areas/regions and add to your card depending on its capacity.
