need advice for lure fishing

quick one guys
Is a 6pound line sufficient for fishing with metal lures? Will be using a 1-3kg rod, aimming for tailor/pinky
does having a leader matter at all?

Thats fairly light, but you will have fun doing it. Maybe 4-6kg with 15lb would be a more achivable line class, but hey going light is definatly a worthy challenge.
Yes you will want to run a Flourocarbon leader, i generaly aim for a leader double the wieght of my line class.
