I think its kinda hard to explain by words, but can anyone explain to me how to see a gutter?coz i've done some research on the webby but still cant see it. Plus, what other factors shud i see during beach fishing?

First tip DK
Have a look at Neander's thread on SBend and then look at the pic of Headbutts. That is sort of water you want to look for.
Probably the easiest way to explain looking for a gutter is to look for the area of green water between the white water.

spot on
Spess is spot on, watching the water is extremely important when beach/rock fishing. Watching whats moving along the gutters and on the surface and having the right tactic for that point in time will assist your catch rates. One of the guys I work with is phenominal at seeing fish and action in the water, its a great thing to practice with good polarised sunnies.

Couldn't agree more
It is also a good idea to climb onto a high point, like a sand dune and have a good look along the whole beach. A pretty simple gutter to spot is where a wave breaks on a sandbank out wide, the water will be white. Then when the water hits the gutter, the white water part of the wave will begin to disappear. Then the wave will start to reform when it approaches the shore.
But there are all sorts of situations on beaches, depending on tides, wind, etc.
If you know what a rip is, look for one of those as the water will generally come out of a gutter and feed the rip.

Sorry DK IMO means in my opinion. Try to establish darker areas near sand or deep water that runs close to the shore etc these al;l should be easy to spot with ya sunnies. Low tide is also good to have a look around then return on the high and fish the likley ares you seen earlier.

DK have a look at Neander's S Bend thread
On the second last picture you will notice a dark green section of water between the white water and the lighter green water. The dark green water is a gutter.

Hi DK
A rip is where the water forms a channel and heads back out to sea. There is a pretty good example in Neander's second SBend picture. The rip is the large, flattened out expanse of water in the middle.
They can be a good place to fish as the bigger fish will wait on the edges of the rip to grab food being dragged out by the current.

I think it means at the point it breaks it matches. The rest was about non-breaking waves (which is all correct)
