looks pretty cheap and nasty
looks pretty cheap and nasty to me.
I'd personally go with the tried and proven TLD series. The size depends on the amount and type of line you want to use.
For the money and effort to get up there and fish, you may as well fork out another $100 and get a good reel. That sort of ebay junk will not last-period.

if you want to use it for
if you want to use it for ballooning surely you have to go with the original, an ALVEY! simple to use and if you are on a more remote trip they are easy to fix if they do break.

Thanks guys, I was worried
Thanks guys, I was worried it would be a bit cheap and not do the job properly, What about the Okuma SD 55L. Ithought of at alvey too lurcha, never had any experience with one of them before, so Im a bit discouraged. Oh well will have to try and sweet talk the wife into letting me spend a bit more, wish me luck. Oh by the way my budget is around the 150 to 200 dollar range, If anyone has any ideas or good reels they would like to sell, let me know, cheers!

I am with the boys above
And I think the TLD would be within you budget, but I havent bought one for ages, because my 20 and 25 are just cool after years.
Tough as nails.
There are better reels for sure, but this will do it. The 25 probably for line capacity.
Alveys just dont make the right sound with a fish on IMO.

Shimano
Have a look at the Shimano Charter special, its around the same price of the TLD's, lever drag and has level wind. If you haven't used an overhead before it can take a while to get in the habit of laying the line evenly and at night it can be a proverbial pain in the arse, the line leveller takes all this away.
Have got a couple of reels the same as the Latitude and regret bidding on them. The anti reverse Pawl inside the reel sticks and all of a sudden you find the crank handle bashing your knuckles about as it runs backwards, it can be fixed with a bit of filing but it shouldn't have to be done i the first place.
