hey Fincher go and have a chat to Sherbs at the tackle shack. I fished with one of his rods its in the line class you discribe and it was Awesome. Hanlded Sambos and pinkies no problem really nice action and feel. I can remember the Make or model though sherbs will be more than happy to help as well.

in my opinion
I wouldnt use 50lb on it. you wont get the capacity and over time will kill ya reel. I have 1 with 30lb. I run it on a graphite 7ft spin rod. I can do alot with it. jig larger plastics/metals. Cast metals at feeding fish, snapper fish, bottom fish, light troll. Very versatile outfit. My go to stick on the boat.
