New Epirp Needed

the old ACR epirb battery is near out of date. (A ridiculous $300 for battery replacement and month wait !!!) will never buy one of these again.
I guess most here don't have "hands on experience" with using an EPIRB but any input to makes and models good or anything to watch out for would be appreciated.
prob just going for a GME 600. (GPS, 10year battery replacement, maintinence ...if needed in perth)
