I went into Oceanside Tackle today with the intention of grabbing some lures and hitting the water this arvo (trying to get some bream or flathead). As it turns out I walked out with an empty wallet and a new Asaro reel with 8lb braid and a new 6'6" graphite rod. Unfortunately I only had time to fish for an hour around 2pm (which is not ideal). Had a few strikes and a little fight before it spat the lure but was still nice to have a line in the water. Hopefully I will be able to get something over the weekend or next week as I have a weeks break from uni.

Yeh Shaun got me talking and I already had a case of fishing fever so it was always gonna happen. Yes I did get a lure but only one. A red and gold scorpion 35. I'd already spent too much to afford numerous lures. I'm going to have to invest in a lure retriever thingy.

Of course they did.
They knew exactly what I came in for and they definitely looked after me. No doubt I'll be back soon. Hoping to get out and give it a real test next week.
