New Outboard Prices & Ideas

Hi,
I am thinking of replacing my old engine (2 stroke 30hp Johnson with electric start and forward controls) with a new engine (probably 2 stroke of 30-40hp with electric start and forward controls).
Have done a reasonable amount of googling, but am finding it hard to get a ballpark on price for a replacement engine with forward controls and fitted by mechanic (unless I submit enquiry forms).
Any recommendations and ballpark costs for what I am after?

price
i bought a new yammie 2 stroke and fitted it my self about 8yrs ago and it was $4800 from memory so I`d say you will looking at least $6000 to have one fitted. best way is to ring and ask.

If you can afford go 4
If you can afford go 4 stroke. Go into a couple of shops and they will give you a quote to supply and install.

Will do a call around (or visit shops) to see what is on offer.
Would be great if I could install myself, but like most boat related projects I attempt, it usually take 5 times longer than what I suspect things should take :))

I re powered my 14ft tinny
Put on a spanking new 40 hp 4st, electric start trim tilt, this time last year, 6k fitted in mandurah
