new / renew fishing license

seems new fishing license now dealt by DOT asks user name and password dont have , type in DOB &email address says if correct email will be sent but nothing , guess my question is what was wrong with prvious , why do they have to make it so difficult or are they just trying to confuse and make life dificult . anyone !

Sounds like you dont already have a DotDirect account for keeping track of vehicle rego's etc? in which case you need to "register" for an account.

No need to register
Did a licence for a friend a week or so ago. There’s an option near the start to apply for a fishing licence without a DOT Direct account.

I tried that way wouldn’t except
Email address. I had to phone them to get my license renewed. Hard work. Great system NOT.

Another thing my old lic exp date was
14/03/2019. Date of payment 11/03/2019. My new exp date 10/03/2020 wtf? Got me. ?

at Freo lady said had untold amount of enq.& complaints on this , also because of the change they/ she ? will be out of a job soon but she was kind enough to get me through on the internet , so hopefully all good for another year .... Holth please edumicate us all on the process that you used

Scrolled down to pay on line, did the acc look up. Asked if lm registered for DOT , clicked no, sent me to payment details . Done.
