Aussie rules is no longer the great game it was, the physical contest is going to be a thing of the past won't be long before it's just basketball on a big field perhaps they will retain the oval ball.

Far out I have seen that footage a few times and where is it high? The ground should be suspended because IT is what made contact with his head.
This could turn a contact sport into a Pansy game. May as well play touch rugby

 Getting to the point that if you are over 1.8m tall & more than 90kg, then you should be looking at contact sports like Rugby or netball.....

The next rule will be that ruckmen are not allowed to tackle anyone smaller than themselves.

Toughen up AFL. With all the different interpritations of the rules, they are turning the game into a non-event for spectators.

It's not the first time that Nic or a lot of the others have tackled like this. Maybe because the Eagles are second on the ladder they thought they better slow them down by banning their best ruckman. Who knows how they think.

IMO they should have kept more than 1 person on the MRC, that way one persons (possibly biast) opinion won't affect the following games. 

look at the plus side - he is returning from injury - they are 2nd on the ladder - a week off is probably not a bad thing!

 Tackle to your hearts content, but watch the head. That’s the message. It’s become a duty of care issue. Several ex footballer sit on the sideline now suffering from receiving too many concussions. They are saying to the AFL that they failed in their duty of care towards them on the footy field. Our game is getting faster and faster, the players are as strong as they’ve ever been. We need to change our ideas of what is a good tackle. In my day, a good shirtfront lifted everyone, but that’s gone and rightly so. You can’t sling a person any more, sorry, but it’s not WWE. And tackles where it’s 2 actions are banned, that’s the worst one for me as it looks so malicious. So if you want to see something with little or no tackling, go watch Freo.

 Freestyle mx riders know the risks with the sport they participate in ....You don’t see them banning tricks because they are dangerous. And they still go harder trying to push the limits 

i don’t understand how football has become so soft I stopped watching years ago because of this sort of thing. The players know the risks involved in the game you may get hurt you may not... stop trying to mitigate everything afl or you will have no fans left 

 What the MRP have done here is just blurr the line even more as to what is acceptable as a tackle. If that was a smaller bloke that laid that tackle Amon would never have hit the ground as hard, so what is it , discrimination against bigger players? I just don't fucking get it.
