Good luck to those who went, couldn't find anyone who could join me, then one of my boys woke up at 10:30 and wouldn't go back to sleep. So I didn't get to sleep til near midnight and missed my alarm this morning. Busy afternoon planned so not much choice but to stay home and sulk.

just spoke to a mate, he spoke to fisheries and by the sounds of it its been slow for while, a few fish here and there but not to the numbers there used to seeing. could be due to the lack of swell and calm conditions

Been out the back of the trench all weekend. Great place to spend some time. Today was spectacular after yesterdays weather.

All the FAD's have been pretty quiet and the fish that have been around are still small. Plenty of warm water out there though

Sun, 2015-02-08 19:43

Just after the full moon, crap solunar forecast. Didn't hear of any mackerel here at Kalbarri, water still dirty from the swell earlier in the week. We had an interesting morning, dropped on a really thick reading in the shallows and got smashed by GT's and rat sambos. Two little GT's and a brassy all around 6kg, small sambos, and got monstered by some that were obviously a lot bigger. So we had some fun on jigs and strip baits.

 Hit a school of Smabo's

Sun, 2015-02-08 21:02

Hit a school of Smabo's early with one coming up around the 20kg mark so a bit of fun. Took us all day to find the Dhuies even then they were only just keepers. Lots of undersize, other boats that went out had the same slow going. Full moon? The Ranger is a bitch on the beach Felt like I was launching the boat witha hovercraft. So much power she just floated over the sand, big idiot grin all morning.
