Was the Sambo hanging around the jetty or did you get if off the beach?
Love Sept/Oct for fishing Lancelin to Cervantes. That whole stretch can really fire up at the right time. Well done.

just before i seen them come
just before i seen them come in i was getting epic runs on lives baits and hooking up big fish that kept running towards the reef and busting me off, i personally think they were sambos 100%, sometimes they kept on spitting the same baits over and over again, so i also think it could of been a big elusive Mulloway. but yeah, i got this one under the jetty, but i pulled heaps of line out so i could have fun and actually reel it in without just lifting it out the water, letting it run around the pylon and jetty was so fun, then pulling it off em :)
