night of the squid

had a few new jigs to try out tonight so on went the ab shell again and down the water i went . the night started off really slow but then it was chaos between me and satatrix we landed 16 squid between us and dropping several more . was a super productive night with harimitsu jigs and abshell proving to be the winning combo.

Do they learn?
I tried hitting the squid the other night. First cast got followed, second got a nice squid, next few casts got followed with a couple of hookups but none landed. After that they seemed to lose interest in my jig. They'd come out to have a look then not touch it. What changed? Do they smell death on the jig, or learn about the colour? Should I change to another colour? Frustrating to see half a dozen squid all smimming around my jig and none would have a go.
Any help or advice appreciated.

that was half of them got more as the night went on was good fun.
rudog its all about colour retrieve and size jig at the moment and working it out from there i have cracked a style that is woking everytime while others arnt gettin jack all.
jig : harimitsu 2.5 natural brown or green with ab shell
any bigger and your not in the race down there just wasting your time
