Night swimmer
Got a phone call at 10 pm last night from the local coppers asking if we could get a rescue boat out to the jetty. Seems some one fell in while fishing and his mates had lost sight of him.
Anyway, no sooner than I'd arranged for a crew member to meet me at the boat when they rang back to say he'd managed to get to the ladder and his mates pulled him out. Bet he'd had eyes as big as dinner plates looking for the ladder and looking for the tigers that usually haunt the area at night.
It was a good feeling when I rang the decky cancelling the call out because it would have been in crap conditions with it blowing around 20-25 knots and in water that is again a dirty brown colour plus the recent search for the still missing prawn trawler decky in the back of our minds.

Me!!
If it was me all I would have had to do was turn around and climb up on the pile of shit behind me and walk back to the jetty. Would have been like jet propulsion with solids

Alls well that ends well. Good to see you were ready to go if needed.
