been there done that
but the circumstances of mine were probably a tad funnier than your own.
Dislocated it (while drunk) trying to tip a cow over (its not as easy as people make out). I then decided that I'd "pop it back in" Riggs style (ala Lethal Weapon) by smashing my shoulder against a door frame. 5 or 6 smashes later and it was completely stuffed. Probably not the finish to leavers week I was hoping for
Got it operated on as soon as I got back, so it ended up being a really expensive week.....but it didn't kill me so allegedly it made me stronger.

Thats cause cow tipping is a bit of a myth. Cows dont even sleep standing up (though they do nap). You need at least 2 people and you have to push it quick, otherwise you need more people. link
Now, I love my steak, but I dont condone cow tipping (it ruins the meat :p)

Quick recovery
You'll have to find something else to occupy your time Craig, or you'll go totally nuts.
Good luck with it all and wish you a quick recovery

just make sure
you do the rehab to the letter and dont push it to far to fast. Steady steady is the key.....
Do it once and do it right, you dont want to have to go through it again somewhere down the track. Best of luck!
