Northmole Bonito

Went for a flick at the "stones" this morning and yesterday. Got drenched wet!

Caught about 4 Bonito :)
The one 2nd pic below was a very good sized one!

Took 2 home and just whacked em on the BBQ! Very nice!

Out of everyone on the mole i was the only person catching them

Here is some pics......

Summer species!

They're around from summer till May (approx)then they bugger off. The majority go but a few stragglers hang around, this is the last of it so enjoy!

What car were you in? We were there about that time aswell.

Felt like good sized squid grabbing my mulie at times only to let go 5 meters from the rocks :(

Second pic

Mon, 2007-05-28 22:34

Marc, i reckon the pics are great. Nice and clear and some awesome focus on the fourth one. I am puzzled by the second pic however as it appears you are immersed in the water and your rod is somehow bisecting your body. Might be an optical illusion but has me stumped. Looks weird. A bit of creativity in there? Not taking away from the fish or the pics at all but just took my eye is all as not being quite right.

Cheers

Andy Mac

*andy.... Thanks yeah iv set

*andy.... Thanks yeah iv set my camera up really well. Its only a $299 4.2peg pixel sony cybershot. Those cameras in my view are the best value for dollar. The pics i posted are only 1 third the resolution. I shrunk the pics down to post :)

Yep the second pic had me baffled aswell. That section of northmole is really steep and its the way i stept up towards the camera for the pic that gave it that effect.

Wish i could be down there this morning! Would be mint fishin!

Bait casting a mulie and use smaller gang hooks.

Or

Flick out lures.

I have a mate who has been there the last 3 days and only landed 1.

Must be starting to thin out now :(
