Not quite the pilbara........but WA

Snuck up to the Ord for a trip early September on neaps for a few days fishing the mouth and surrounding creeks.

Although the ambient temperature was down a bit, which made sleeping at night bearable there were still a few fish around.

Being our third trip down we had a few favourite spot to try, but alas most of them weren’t holding fish as expected.

So we had to do a bit more exploring and brainstorming sessions to figure out where our quarry  was hold up.

We did the usual looking for bait searching snags and looking for warmer water and back eddies.

As the tide moved further into the neaps and tactics altered slightly for the different conditions we landed a few nice fish for the trip.

A few shots below Enjoy

Biggest fish was a 103cm model but most around the high 80’s

All fish were released :)
