Not "in" tomorrow

I've got a job interview (finally!) tomorrow, so I won't be "in" . Fingers crossed and wish me luck!!

(especially you Ryan - because if I get the job, I'll want some more gear Tongue out)

I've informed the administration (sent Sir Colin a PM). Yell

(God, you know you're a pretty serious Fishwrecked person, when you report in "sic" Foot in mouth) LOL

Colin, I can just imagine

Colin, I can just imagine you saying to the accountant "want to see a pic of my new baby?" and out comes the wallet with a little photo of the boat. Then a convo on how long did it take to deliver, and how'd the missus go with it?

Do we get to know kind of job it is?

(oh and good luck)

LOL - Actually it was an a4 glossy pic that I had in my job application folder - the Accountant kept asking me about the boat and got very stern (no pun intended) looks from the 2 on the other panel. Strangest interview I ever had. When the HR person rang and offerred me the job - and I accepted she said 'well, I suppose we'd better ring your referrees now' Foot in mouth - (and DONT say I got the job 'cause they didn't LOL)

I don't think it's good luck to mention an actual position (one of my funny little beliefs I suppose). But it's in the 'customer service' area :)

(Thanks for the well wishes!)

Good luck, Dreamy....

The first thing you should ask in the interview, is how much sick leave do I get. And how about annual leave? When's the next public holiday? Wasn't this company on "Today Tonight" the other week? Where do I sign up for the union? Is that coffee free? How "friendly" is the receptionist? Where's my parking space going to be?

If you don't ask, you don't get!

Good luck Colin, I hope it goes well for you and you land the 'big' one :)

As for your saying about the bag of sausages.  Classic comment and a good point.  Firm handshake is the way to go!

LMAO Oz, very funny Laughing

Thanks guys for the well wishes and support! Very much appreciated.

UPDATE

Had the interview at 08:00 down in Albany, though the job is based in Mount Barker. As expected (and is usual), there were 3 people on the interview panel and the interview consisted of a run down of the job and then a series of proping questions based on the position's selection criteria.

As I had spent the week preparing answers (4 page document) on all the selection criteria, I had many STAR (situation, task, action and result) responses ready.

There were plenty of 'good examples', laughs, nods of the head etc, so I think the interview went well. I just hope they agree Tongue out

As to successs? We'll as always, it'll come down to the comparitive perceived calibre of the other applicants.

It will take at least 4 weeks before I find out.

Thanks again guys!!!
