Offshore Spots - Lancelin

Does anyone have any recommended spots to try offshore at Lancelin?  I have been out a few times without much success so was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.  Have tried 220 15nm and also 250 15nm (30 - 40m).  I know there are fish out there cause I went to the last weighin at the fishing club.

The Bank

It's pretty much the same ground from Rotto up to Dongara. You're on the money with your distance, all you have to do is sound you're ground to find good colour.

If you can't find anything at the start of the bank, head out another four Nmiles to the China Wall and sound for colour.65 to75 metres deep and you'll be close.

If all else fails then prospect a cray run and they're pots will give you good ground.
DON'T snag up on they're ropes and if you do, mark a float so they know .
had mates nearly killed by flying sinkers on cray boats.

Hope that helps

Thanks for your advise, I will give that a shot when I go up again on the Australia day long weekend.  I was thinking about the cray pots but they were on the shelf and that was a bit further than I wanted to travel, the wind can be a real bugger up there also.
