 What is it made from?

What is it made from? Stainless or galv mild steel?

Edit: Have just read a blurb on them and are galved mild steel. So in essence you can't harden it without rooting the galv. To bending it like you say sounds like you're doing it all wrong lol. If you keep bending it you will eventually snap it off as galv makes it brittle.

The tip hits a bit of hard bottom and rolls over.happens all the time.

Anchor still works fine even with the rolled over edge

Pete

Ive just bought a new sarca and there is already a slight bend in the tip. Probably the last 30mm. Perhaps you dont need to bend it back anyway as I think its part of the design.

The tip isn't stiff enough.

The tip isn't stiff enough. Design flaw I reckon. I'd get the bottom plated up like a delta

Any metal that has been hot

Sun, 2018-06-10 22:03

Any metal that has been hot dipped galvanised is always soft. Only dua plate or medium carbon steel that has been hardened and tempered will handle what you expect it to do but it will always be open to the salt effect and corosion.
