Outboard props

Hi All,
I currently have a 4 blade solas prop on a 225 Yamaha four stroke outboard pushing a Haines 685 Patriot, if I was to change this back to a 3 blade what would it do with regards to fuel consumption, top end speed and speed out of the hole.
Cheers
Mark

No really sure about the props, but if you look on the Yamaha website they have a prop calculator which gives you a few options depnds on your WOT and speed and stuff.
Keen to hear how you go, thinking about different props for mine too.
I get 1.5l/nm 300 Yamaha on a 7.5m boat! Whats your economy now ?

without referring to specific
without referring to specific props there is probably too many variables to answer.
But generally a 4 blade gives a bit more lift in the stern, so better for a boat that's ass heavy.
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.
