just after some information about places to beach anchor at rotto
we've stayed at thompsons bay , but next time i don't want to tie up to the proper moorings
which secluded bays are the top spots (north side obviously) that allow you to beach anchor
cheers

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

mate, take the extra bit of traveling and go to parker point, without doubt the best bay at rotto, also a nice littel reef to go snorkeling.

Geordie Bay
Hey Grayzeee , from memory there's only beach anchoring permitted at Thomson's
and Geordie Bay .
If your planning to fish out west of Rotto ,then you may want to concider going down to Rocky Bay ( narrow neck ) . You can pick up a mooring right in close behind the rocks and this time of the year its going to be very quiet up there.
The inspector may come around about 9.00am .......but probably not and if your fishing ,you would be long gone !
